Although Frederic Remington was famous for his iconic artworks depicting the American West, the artist lived and worked most of his life in New York in a region known as the North Country. The Saint Lawrence River, the Adirondack Mountains, and the Thousand Islands are all part of the landscape with which Remington was most familiar. The museum’s current exhibition, Another Frontier: Frederic Remington’s East explores the artist’s North Country landscapes. Join us as we take a closer look at these impressionistic compositions and paint our own verdant landscape paintings.
