Explore theImpact of Vaqueros in Cowboy Culture

In their artwork, Charles Russell & Frederic Remington often depicted cowboys, the icons of the American West. Many of the practices and tools used by Anglo cowboys originate from the traditions of the vaquero, or Mexican cowhand. In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, join us as historian Doug Harman explores the history and culture of the vaqueros and their unique contributions to Fort Worth.
