Discover how bison are depicted in art & learn more about our National Mammal
Join us for our first paired-lecture program at the Sid.
First, enjoy a presentation from Sarah Cash, Associate Curator, American and British Paintings at the National Gallery of Art, as she delves into the ways in which artists like Charlie Russell have represented buffalo hunts in their artwork.
Then learn more about our National Mammal as Laura Veloz, Natural Scientist at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, reviews fun facts about bison and shares the efforts of the Nature Center to protect and manage a bison herd in Cowtown.
Afterwards, participate in an engaging Q&A with both guest speakers.
