Classroom Preparation
Please provide your students with a nametag, first name only, clearly written. This will allow the docents to call students by name and make them feel welcome in The Museum.
Please tell students that due to the acidic nature of human body oils, works of art may not be touched. Caution students not to lean against walls or cases.
Be sure students understand the tour’s objective. Students who are prepared for a museum visit are more likely to have a positive and meaningful experience. For tips on how to prepare for your visit click below:

Chaperones
Arrange for one adult chaperone per 10 students. Please be sure chaperones are familiar with museum guidelines. Teachers and chaperones must remain with their groups and are responsible for student supervision while in The Museum.
Parking
Bus parking is available in the loading zone directly in front of The Museum, located at 309 Main Street. Click here for a map. Orange cones will mark the designated parking space.
Validated parking is available in all of the Sundance parking lots, including the Chisholm Trail parking lot (bounded by 3rd, 4th, Main, and Houston streets), as well as in the Towers garage (Commerce St. and 2nd). Bring your ticket to the Museum for free validation.
Arrival
Please remain outside the museum until a museum representative meets your group to take you into the group entrance.
Food, gum, beverages, backpacks and pens/markers are not permitted in the gallery. Pencil activities need prior arrangement. Cameras are not permitted inside the gallery.
Please turn off all cell phones while in the gallery.
Cancellations and Late Arrivals
If it is necessary to cancel your tour, please call 817-332-6554 as soon as possible to notify Museum Staff. Please be aware that if you arrive more than 15 minutes late your tour may be abbreviated, due to subsequent tour bookings.
