  The ART & ARCHIVES teaching resource is a series of ten lessons developed to enable teachers to bring the experience of the American West to life for their students by linking the rich primary sources from the Sid Richardson Museum and the National Archives and Records Administration - Southwest Region.

Cultural Connections: Essential to Experience!
  This interactive resource includes audio, visuals and text to enhance your understanding of three special places, or "cultural connections" in Fort Worth's Sundance square.  Each of these sites relates to topics you may explore while at the Sid Richardson Museum.
   
The Art of Story: Defining Character
   An interactive glimpse into what you will find when you take The Art of Story gallery tour. The module includes excerpts from songs and stories and provides classroom activities that teachers can use to engage students and help them to understand characters, setting and action.
   
Aspects of American Indian Plains Culture
  Explore cultural aspects of nineteenth-century American Indian Plains lifestyle based on artworks by Herbert M. Herget and Charles M. Russell at this interactive site. Or, compare details from Sid Richardson Museum paintings with selected artifacts of traditional regalia from the Glenbow Museum, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Also, a lesson on bead-making is included.
